You’ll learn essential breathing and relaxation techniques, basic freediving skills, and important safety principles. During both confined water and open water sessions, you’ll experience the unique feeling of diving on a single breath while building confidence under the guidance of a certified instructor.

This course is suitable for anyone who:

  • Is at least 12 years old
  • Can swim comfortably
  • Is in good general health
  • Has no previous freediving or snorkeling experience

AIDA 2* Beginner Course

Become a certified freediver

Ready to take your first real steps into freediving? The AIDA 2 Freediver Course is designed for beginners and self-taught freedivers who want to build a solid foundation. You’ll develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to freedive safely while earning your first internationally recognized certification.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn breath-hold techniques, equalization, safety procedures and the theory behind freediving. Through a combination of online learning, confined water and open water sessions, you’ll gradually progress towards deeper and more comfortable dives.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable if you:

  • Are at least 18 years old (16–17 with parental consent)
  • Can swim 200 meters continuously
  • Have little or no formal freediving experience

Course requirements

To earn your certification, you’ll complete:

  • Static apnea: 2:00 minutes
  • Dynamic apnea (with fins): 40 meters
  • Constant Weight (with fins): 12–20 meters
  • Theory exam

Combining modern teaching methods with world-class training standards, this course helps you develop the skills, confidence and knowledge to dive safely while discovering your full underwater potential.


Throughout the course, you’ll learn breath-hold techniques, equalization, safety procedures and the theory behind freediving. With a combination of online learning, confined water and open water sessions, you’ll steadily build your skills and confidence in a supportive learning environment.

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable if you:

  • Are at least 16 years old (16–17 with parental consent)
  • Can swim 200 meters continuously
  • Want to become a certified freediver

Course requirements

To earn your certification, you’ll complete:

  • Static apnea: 1:30 minutes
  • Dynamic apnea (with fins): 30 meters
  • Constant Weight (with fins): 12–20 meters
  • Free Immersion: 12–20 meters
  • Theory exam
